ABOUT US

Anthology brings together some of Newcastle's elder (we're not dead yet!) statesman musicians. Dick Arkinstall, Tony Camps, Greg Howley, John Moss, Peter Roffey and Peter Stef combine to perform 'mini' sets of some the world's greatest artists and bands. Anthology will take you on a journey of timeless classics from The Beatles, Bee Gees, The Doors, Bowie, The Church, Rolling Stones, TRex and many more . Combining rock guitars and brass, Anthology will unleash memories of music that mattered.

Back after an eight year tour of Europe, Scandinavia and the sub continent…well actually doing nothing, TC as he is affectionately known, is heading back to his rock roots.

An avid admirer of heavy rock, TC earned his stripes in heavy rock outfits Livewire & Unleashed through the late 70’s & early 80’s during arguably the greatest period of the live music scene in Newcastle and Australia.

TC took a break from head banging through the rest of the 80’s with cameo roles in Photograph and Status Quotes until joining forces with Richard Boyle in 1990 to form ‘The Tributes’, which from humble beginnings finally ended after an 18 year stint and about a thousand gigs.

As rhythm guitarist, lead & backing vocalist, TC is back with some good mates to bring you an Anthology of music from some of the all time favourite artists and bands.

John has also come out of a six year retirement, and is pleased to be back with old friends and a few new friends to play keyboard for Anthology.

His musical journey started from primary school, when he started learning classical piano, and playing tenor horn in the local brass band, and then moving on to playing in pop bands in his mid teens.

Some of the bands he has played in include; Midnight Soul, KEG, Nodes Levity, Afrika, Benny And The Jets, and The Cruisers.

He is excited to be playing in this line-up.

John provides the band's driving lead guitar, plus he enhances the band's vocals with strong harmonies.

Since the 70's, John has performed around the Newcastle region in popular bands, trios and duos.  John's extensive music experience has been crafted as a member of…

Bands such as Harlequin; Zenith; Nevada; The Straights; and King Hit.
Trios such as The Buzz Brothers; and the long-running Scott, Hunter & King.
Duos such as Fort & Scratchley; Scott & Hunter; and The Rocker Fellers.
John is grateful to the other members of Anthology for the opportunity to make a come-back from several years of music retirement to give performing in a great band one last bash!

Peter provides the colour that Saxophone gives to a band, allowing for a wider range of music to be covered. Peter gives extra depth to the band's sound with his backing vocals.

Anthology is the latest in a long line of excellent Newcastle bands that Peter has been part of since the 70's.

Bands include The Steelmen, Nodes Levity, Voodoo Daddy, Tributes, Birben and Memory Lane.

Peter is enjoying once again playing with such a talented and very experienced group of musicians.

PETER STEF

Peter Stef started playing drums with bands in Newcastle in the mid 1980's. These bands included The Analects, Eclipse, The Remedy and The Skidmarx. In the 1990's he was a founding member of Blast From the Past. This popular band worked for over 10 years playing all over Newcastle, Hunter, Great Lakes and Central Coast regions. They also performed at major private functions with their special blend of popular music.

After a short break Peter filled in for a number of bands and then moved on to The Splinter Band which returned to his musical roots playing the pub circuit. He is proudest of the young talent his experience was able to encourage whilst in this band.

He is also world famous in Raymond Terrace with a red piece of carpet at the Junction Inn being named in his honor after many years of drinking grenadine infused lemonade. Sadly that piece of carpet was lost in a building renovation. He looks forward to continuing his musical contribution to the world with Anthology.
